April - Revisited

I am ridiculously behind in blogging these days.  A lot has been happening in our house in the last few months.  Hopefully there will be several posts to come with lots of pictures of Miss Mae and all the fun she has been having!

April was a full month for us.  We celebrated Easter by hosting both sides of our family for a delicious meal after church.  It was lots of fun despite the cold, rainy weather.  We weren't able to go outside to have an Egg Hunt, so we all took turns hiding eggs for Miss Mae in the living room.  She thought it was fabulous fun!  Later in the week when the weather cleared up we had a little egg hunt in the neighborhood with one of her little buddies.  It was a lot of fun.

Chris had his spring break the following week and we decided to tackle a huge milestone in the life of a toddler: potty-training!!  We used the three-day method described on this site.  Miss Mae did great!  The first day was really messy and gross with 8+ accidents, but she caught on so fast!  By day two she was down to only one accident and day three went by accident free.  Woohoo!!  We are so excited to be a diaper-free home for a few months.  :)

We also enjoyed a lot of time with family and friends in April.  Miss Mae and I took a trip to our local amusement park with my cousins.  It was so fun and she loves "Baby Sadie."  Then we had a quick visit from our dear friends Jason and Kellie and their sweet baby girl Maddie.  It was so fun to see them again, we stayed up entirely too late talking and playing a crazy game on the Wii.  We sure miss you guys!!

Chris also accepted a new job at another local school.  We are sad to be leaving our friends at LHS but are so excited to see what God has in store for our family.  Its going to be an exciting fall at our house!
