May

May was another busy month for us (are any months not busy for us??). The biggest news from the month was the ultrasound I had on Cinco de Mayo. Oh BOY!! Miss Mae is going to have a baby brother! We are very excited about the adventure that is to come. She is really excited too! She loves to talk to him and even got to feel him kick for the first time this month.

Miss Mae and I had quite a few adventures this month. We've been trying to pack in as much fun as we can while I'm feeling good. We were able to visit with an old friend who has kids around Miss Mae's age. The live out in the country, so it was a treat to see the green hills, wild flowers and animals. We also took a trip to Granny's office. We even got to sit on a bus while we were there... such a treat!!

At the end of the month we took another trip to the Oakland Zoo in May to celebrate Pappy's 60th birthday. It was another fun day and Miss Mae had a blast.

In other news, Chris had a very busy month at LHS. His bands performed at CMEA and did well. He also had his last concert, and boy did he go out with a bang! The concert was fabulous!! All of his groups did so well, Miss Mae and I especially loved Jazz Band's performance. We rounded out the month with the year's Music Awards night. Many students were recognized and awarded for their outstanding achievements in the music program. At the end of the night Anne-Marie honored Chris for his service to LHS and gave him a medal similar to the student's medals since he is graduating from the school for a second time. It was a very touching time. We are both so appreciative of her friendship.
